The clients were very clear on their vision for their new kitchen. Firstly, is was important that a combination of wood, natural tones with crisp white cabinetry was used to give a “Scandi” feel. Secondly, they wanted to incorporate an “uber” modern kitchen into their grand colonial villa whilst maintaining a harmonious relationship with the period features.

• To maximise the feeling of space we utilised the elevated stud height, on wall of cabintry was 2.4m high and the other was 3m
• A matte Blanco Silgranit sink and tap accentuate the contemporary feel whilst lending a lovely tactility to an otherwise ordinary area.
• Blum legrabox drawers with TipOn hardware and Aventos bi-fold wall units with finger pull were used to keep the kitchen looking clean with no handles.
• All of the lines in the kitchen and the cabinetry were carefully considered and placed to add more sophistication to the space ensuring the right balance of wood and white cabinetry.
• The warm LED lighting creates a nice ambiance.
• The Dekton Kayla benchtops warm hues complemented the natural tones of the bamboo cabinetry whilst the subtle light marbling worked well with the crisp white cabinetry.
• The matte Dekton splashback was used for its simplicity as not to draw the eye away from the key features in the design.
• Various Blum ambia line drawer inserts were used to help with organisation
• Blum Legrabox pantry drawers with glass fronts and sides help with visibility and storage.
